Quick introduction.
The idea here is to build up the ultimate forum and resources on everything to do with playing games created before the 2Ks hit. Including everything from arcade games to consoles, windows to zx basic.
Whether it's what hardware you need to run at to how well can it run. Or working out how to get some old code to run.
Especially keen to hear from anyone making new content that will run on old platforms.
We are especially keen to build up a database of hardware that can run old software and how well it runs. Do you need a Raspberry Pi 4 or can you get away with a Pi 3? How do other Pi alternates stack up.
As well as keeping an eye on all the new form factors like pico ITX and the dozens of new SBCs that pop up every now and again.
First tasks is to sort out the forum structure, which is mostly done now. Then automate sitting up a forum board for every game/franchise from the period.

Life got in the way a bit as well as playing with the Pi 5 for long enough to realise that it was going to take a while for the software to catch up with the changes. So I then put it down for a bit. Got it back out when I saw a hows to on running Steam on the Pi 5. It works but unsupported and only just. Was a chance to try out Ubuntu for the Pi too as it seem to run best on that at the mo.
Still early days for the Pi 5 and have seen there are some software stack updates that give it a few percentage improvements on some games so I'll probably test some of them again soon.
